The Yab Yum club, one of Amsterdam's best-known sex clubs has had its permit revoked.

The Yab Yum Club, located in a historic canalside mansion in Amsterdam, has a reputation for being an expensive hangout for rich businessmen and foreign travelers, but the government now suspects Yab Yum's owners to be engaging in "criminal transactions" and have revoked its permit.

Whilst prostitution is legal in the Netherlands, Amsterdam Mayor Job Cohen wants to root out the organised crime links to the city's famed Red Light District.
